Local Event Spotlight: August Adventures Around DFW
Looking for new ways to enjoy the final stretch of summer? Whether you're planning a unique date night, entertaining the kids before school starts, or simply exploring the best of DFW, here are four local picks we think are worth checking out this August.
Check It Out: Ecclesia Bakery (Coppell)
If you haven't discovered Ecclesia Bakery yet, it's time to change that. This charming Coppell bakery has earned a loyal following for its naturally leavened breads, flaky pastries, and artisan approach to baking.
One thing that sets Ecclesia apart is its use of levain, a traditional French sourdough starter that naturally ferments the dough. The longer fermentation process not only develops incredible flavor but may also make the bread easier to digest and produce a lower glycemic response than conventionally made breads. Whether you're stopping in for a buttery croissant, fresh country loaf, or one of their seasonal pastries, Ecclesia is well worth adding to your weekend routine.
